* Back in August of 2010 the show made its debute as the Silver Slate Futurity, since then the event has grown substantially into the Silver Slate Reining Classic and again surpassed all expectations!!! This is thanks to the exceptional turnout by spectators and of course competitors, in addition, the support recieved from our sponsors has been incredible!!


* Our success has been due, in part, to our amazing sponsors and stallion owners who helped us host an Open Futurity with $10,000 added, a Non Pro Futurity with $5,000 added and a Rookie Class with a trophy saddle for the winner.


* The spectacular growth of the Silver Slate Reining Classic in 2011 has caused us to relocate to an undisclosed location in 2012, due to us out growing the previous venue. As are result the show has be given a new name and brand, and will now be known as the Wild Rose Reining Classic.


The show will be EVEN BIGGER in 2012 and it is well positioned to achieve our mission of being the largest NRHA Futurity on Canadian soil!! Once again the event will be NRHA Approved and will continue to encourage and promote new competitors in the sport, such as the repeat of offering the Rookie Reiners a chance to compete for a saddle.


* We will continue to enable reiners to compete at an “A-rated” show in their own back yard.
